This is a smaller cooler box than some of the others on the market but it’s perfect. I have a shoulder injury so this one being smaller makes it easier on the good shoulder. Much easier to manage. I get tall Dixie cups and fill with water and freeze. I use 2-3 per at a time as the larger block of ice stay frozen longer. I use the cold water for the next batch when needed. It’s a very quiet machine. I can’t hear the pump much at all. I used a larger Berg cooler type and the pump was very loud. I also used a Donjoy and had the same issue. This size is completely sufficient if you prepare the ice in advance. The Dixie Cup idea is the best if you can find room in your freezer. Also, the price is very good. I see no need to spend more money. One thing you will see is the pump inside the cooler not integrated in the lid or body of the vessel and this takes up room but it functions well and it doesn’t matter. This smaller size really allows to water to be ice cold. Use a barrier, like thin linen or cotton napkin works well. Not too thick.
Small and easier to dump and fill and carry- for someone elderly or with weak shoulders this is perfect.
Very happy.
The only thing I would say is the lid should had some insulation to help the ice and water stay cold even longer. Something could be retrofitted very easily.
