Although not a perfect solution (the velcro sometimes comes undone and one night while I was sleeping, both velcro toe straps came undone and got stuck together, tying my feet together.) as long as I make sure the straps are properly secured, this bunion splint is soft and comfortable, and has really worked to re-align my big toes. Amazingly and unexpectedly, after wearing it to bed for about a week, I've noticed the tingling and numbness in my feet and legs due to the bunions has disappeared. I would say that while this splint may or may not eliminate the need for surgery, it will likely alleviate your bunion issues and give you time to decide whether to go ahead and have the surgery, or wait. Exceeds expectations.

This really helps align my big toe where it is supposed to be - not pushed over to the side with the other toes! Do gradually increase your wearing time, or you will get numbness and/or some discomfort. Walking with them is a little bit of a challenge for me, but it shows just how much your foot is misaligned. Too large for me wear shoes with them, so I only wear them with flipflops or just wait until bedtime. I really like this product as well as the bunion kit, but this splint is a "game changer!"
