A lower resting heart rate typically means your heart is more efficient. The best time to measure this is first thing in the morning, before getting your day started and especially before caffeine.

• Water Content

  Along with many other features, the Body Fat, Smart Body Fat, and Smart Heart Rate Scales record your water weight. This number is important because our bodies need water to function properly. If you’re aware of this number you can compensate for any loss of body water by increasing your water intake.

• Bone Mass

  Your bone density can help predict your risk of bone fractures and your bone health. Having a scale that measures this can tell you whether your bones are at normal, low, or very low density. The Body Fat, Smart Body Fat, and Smart Heart Rate Scales utilize a small electric current that travels through your fat, muscle, bones, and other tissues at different rates to calculate your bone mass.

• BMI

  Having a scale that can quickly measure your BMI gives a more detailed glimpse into your overall health. This number is commonly used in health settings as a screen for high body fatness and weight categories. To calculate, the scale divides your body weight by height. You’ll find this feature built into our Body Fat, Smart Body Fat, or Smart Heart Rate Scales. Simply enter your height when you set up your scale and it will be able to calculate your BMI within seconds.

• BMR

  This number refers to the number of calories that your body burns while it’s at rest. It takes into account your sex, height, weight, and age. Knowing this number will help you to understand the number of calories you may need to increase or decrease to hit goals or maintain an optimal diet. You can get this measurement using the Vive Precision Body Fat, Smart Body Fat, and Smart Heart Rate scales.

Smart Capability

Our Smart Body Fat, Smart Heart Rate, and Smart Body Weight scales are designed to connect to your smart device and come with the Vive Precision App for free. With TeleHealth gaining traction, more doctors are utilizing apps and digital data to better monitor and communicate with their patients.

Having the ability to connect your iPhone or Android to your scale makes tracking your measurements easy. You can simply store this data in the app for personal use or send it to your doctor to review.

Features

• Step On Activation

  Turn on the scale by stepping onto the platform. The LED display with light up and the scale will immediately begin calculating your measurements. It’s that simple and we made sure this feature on every digital scale we offer.

• Auto Shut Off

  Similar to our step on activation, we designed all our scales to do this. There’s no need to turn off your scale after you use it. Step off the platform and the device will automatically power down when not in use. The display will remain lit for a few seconds so that you can get your readings before shutting down.

• LED Display

  A good LED display is important so that each measurement is clear and easy to read. All of our scales have either a backlit display or LED digits that can be read from any angle. 

• Mult-Unit Measurements

  Whether you prefer measuring in Kg, Lbs, or Stone; settings on each of the Vive Precision Scales can easily be toggled to your preference.

Technology

• Bioelectric Impedance Analysis

  BIA is how our scales accurately assess your body composition. It uses non-invasive sensors to send a low-level electrical current through your body. The current moves through water, fat, bone, and other tissues at different rates which calculate measurements of each.

  Using bioelectric impedance analysis, each Vive Precision scale delivers measurements in .2 increments, but there are two different ways that our scales collect these measurements. Take a look at a brief explanation of each method below.

• Precision Sensors

  These sensors are used to calculate measurements on both our Standard Body Fat and Smart Body Fat Scale. You can see the metal sensors located on the face of the scale, this is where you place your feet. These metal plates gauge the force applied and send a low-level electrical current through your body to calculate body fat.

• Conductive ITO Coating

  You’ll often find this material used in touch-screen devices, but you can also find it on our Smart Heart Rate Scale for even better accuracy. Similar to the precision sensor used on our body fat scale, this material is what gauges weight and sends a low-level electrical current through the body to calculate body composition measurements. The use of ITO coating gives the scales a sleeker look and the material is touted for better accuracy.

Weight Limit

Check the weight limit to make sure the scale you choose can accurately measure how much you weigh. If you exceed the allotted weight, we recommend that you look for a scale designed specifically for bariatrics to get the most accurate results. The Smart Bariatric Scale is our bariatric option. It’s designed with an extra wide, stable, base and can accurately weigh up to 550 lbs. For added convenience, you can also connect your scale to your smartphone for easy weight tracking.

Batteries for each Vive Precision scale are included with your purchase. Check our chart above for battery specifics, you may need to replace them after long-term use.
