This is the second scale because there is a problem in replacing the batteries. It was easier to get another scale than to replace the batteries. The scale works great except for when the batteries run out.

Will the digital bathroom scale weigh accurately when placed on a carpeted floor?
No, it is recommended that the scale be used on hard, flat surfaced only for accurate readings.
Does your weight stay on the display after you step off the digital bathroom scale?
The backlit display screen remains lit for a few seconds.
Can I store my scale upright?
Yes, the Vive Precision scale can be stored in an upright position, however, it may need to be reinitialized before using again. To do this, step in the center of the scale, step off and allow to turn off, approximately 10 seconds before stepping on to measure your weight.
Does the Vive digital bathroom scale store my measurements?
No, this scale only displays the current weight.
How do I change the unit of measure on my scale?
To change the unit of measure, locate the UNIT button on the bottom side of the scale in the top right corner. Press the button until your desired unit of measure is displayed on the front display screen. Our scale is capable of measuring in lb, kg, or stone.
What is Step-On Activation?
Step-On activation means as soon as you step on the scale, the device will begin measuring your weight. There is no need to tap to wake up the scale before reading your weight.
What is the best scale for weight loss tracking?
The essential feature of a scale being used for weight tracking is accuracy. If you can not depend on your scale, then there is no way to confidently judge your results. We guarantee accuracy up to 0 .2 lbs so you will know with certainty when you meet your weight loss goals.
How do I initialize my scale?
Lay your scale flat on the ground and press the center of the platform with one foot, or press the UNIT button. The scale will turn on and it should read “0.0”, and then switch off. Your scale is now ready for use. This process must be replicated if the scale is moved; otherwise, once your scale is initialized you may immediately step on the scale to collect your weight.
How do I get the most accurate measurement?
To ensure the most accurate measurement, be sure to place the scale on a hard flat surface. Start your measurement at least 2 hours after waking up or eating. Avoid measuring immediately after exercising, bathing, dining, and drinking; or after using a sauna or jacuzzi. It is important to weigh yourself consistently during the same time slot of the day; using the same scale and in the same location. Re-initialize the scale if it has been out of use for some time, or if it has been moved.
How do I maintain and clean my scale?
Use a dry soft cloth to wipe off dust. For dirt and grime use a soft damp cloth followed by a dry cloth to dry off the device. Do not submerge or immerse your scale in water. To avoid discoloring, damaging, or malfunctioning the scale do NOT use propellants, harmful chemicals, or abrasive materials to clean the scale.
Where should I store my scale?
When storing your scale during non-use it is important to avoid areas where there is water, extreme temperatures, humidity, moisture, direct sunlight, dust, or salt in the air. Avoid places that are risky for shock or drop. Keep away from chemicals and out of reach from infants or children.
How long will the CR2032 lithium batteries last?
The life of the batteries depends on use. For standard use of 1 to 2 measurements per day, the batteries will last over 1 year.
