Power Wheelchair - Foldable Long Range Transport Aid

I purchased my Vive Mobility MOB1029L Foldable Power Wheelchair in February 2025 along with a second battery, and now, more than a year and a half later, I’m still very pleased with it.

I also own a larger Golden Companion GC440, but that chair is heavier and requires my SUV to be equipped with a lift/ramp. The MOB1029L is completely different when it comes to convenience and portability. It folds up and can be placed in the trunk of a car, making it much easier when I don’t want to take the SUV.

I’ve used it extensively at all of the Disney parks (annual pass holder), where it’s easy to maneuver through lines, ropes, and crowded areas. I’ve also traveled with it to Las Vegas, taking it all the way down the jet bridge to the aircraft door. I simply removed the batteries and carried them with me during the flight.

After all that use and travel, it has held up extremely well. I love the combination of portability, maneuverability, and convenience. Having the second battery also gives me additional peace of mind when I’m out for a long day.

For anyone looking for a foldable power wheelchair that is practical for travel, theme parks, and everyday outings, my experience with the MOB1029L has been excellent. Very happy with my purchase!

I have owned this mobility device for over a year, and overall I have been disappointed with its performance. The biggest issue is the battery life. I cannot make a round trip from my house to the mall and back, even though the distance is relatively short. The batteries cannot be connected together to extend the range, which further limits how far I can travel. The device also struggles on inclines. My driveway has only a slight slope, yet I have difficulty getting up it. Carrying anything while trying to go uphill is nearly impossible. Going downhill is also concerning because when I stop, the device tends to slide. The tires have been another major problem. I have already had to replace them twice because the inner tubes do not hold air properly. I requested tubeless, all-terrain tires, but that option is not available. In addition, the device does not perform well on rough terrain such as rocks, grass, or uneven surfaces. The armrests only lasted about a year, and replacement armrests have been on backorder for more than four months so far. There is also very little lumbar support, making longer periods of use uncomfortable. On the positive side, it is TSA-approved and works adequately for local use around the house or for short trips a block or two away. The purchase price was reasonable. However, because of the limited battery range, durability issues, and poor performance on inclines and rough terrain, I would not recommend it for anyone who needs reliable transportation beyond short distances.

I am very impressed with this chair able to climb steep hills no problem roles around in grass no problem speed could be faster. For a ambutory user good enough for me great price. Wish padding was thicker and a memory foam padding would make this even better also tighten all the bolts as mine where lose and needed to be tightened to avoid the rattling.its made in china so that’s expected. Can’t go wrong with it for the price worth buying.

I like the chair does not seem have issues with small inclines joy stick seems to be a little slow response time to me. It is heavy if you have back issues but can't get around that since its aluminum hard for me to lift dew to my back injury. If you don't have back or limb issues you could lift it. For a ambulatory user this would be a fine option if you don't want to spend 1000+ dollars on one..front tires does not need air back wheels do 35psi. Love seat shocks&duel shocks on front seems well built like it that it has two battery slide rails left&right. Seat cushion is firm and could be uncomfortable if sitting 24 hrs.on it. Can do circles in one spot well ect only time will tell its durability&electrical if it will be good or bad. Welds look good my first impression and use are impressive for its proper use have not tried any other terrain yet.
