It is a Godsend

I bought this for my husband as he has lost most all muscle function in his legs. I had to help him off the toilet as it was too low. This raised seat allows him to get up by himself. I can’t tell you my relief as my back was suffering. It was very easy to install, but if you need to remove the old seat and a bidet, expect to use tools and a leak here and there. Had a bit of cross threading and the plumber came to save the day. All is good now.

Pleased with my raised toilet seat. Easily installed and sealed on the toilet well. The handle bars provide assistance getting onto and off the toilet. Would recommend to anyone with mobility issues.

Will the raised toilet seat fit an elongated toilet?

Yes, the raised toilet seat fits both standard toilets (16.5") and elongated toilets (18.5”).

What are the dimensions of the raised toilet seat?

The raised toilet seat is 18”x16.5”x5”.

How high is the raised toilet seat?

The seat is 4.5” high.

How wide is it inside the handrails?

There is 17” of space between the handrails.

What are the dimensions of the opening in the raised toilet seat?

It is 9.5”x8.5”.

How do I assemble and install the raised toilet seat?

The toilet seat comes with two padded handrails. To assemble, slide the handrails into the slots on the side and lock in place. 

To install, lift the toilet lid and seat. Place the assembled raised toilet seat on the toilet with the lock in the front and the lip in the back under the bowl. Turn the knob counter-clockwise to tighten and secure in place. Hand tighten only.

Are tools or hardware needed to install the raised toilet seat?

No, tools and hardware are not needed.

How do I secure the raised seat to the toilet?

Make sure the lip in the back is under the bowl and the clamp attached to the front knob is against the bowl. Hand tighten the knob until the seat is secure.

Which way should I turn the knob to lock the raised toilet seat?

To lock the seat, turn the knob counter-clockwise. To loosen, turn clockwise.

Are the handrails removable?

Yes, the handrails are secured by a push pin. Just pin the pins in and slide the handrails out.

How high are the handles?

The handles are about 6” high.

Is the raised toilet seat padded?

No, the seat is not padded.

What is the raised toilet seat made of?

The seat is made of durable and firm plastic.

Do I need to remove the existing toilet seat or lid to install the raised toilet seat?

In most toilets, you will not have to remove the existing toilet seat or lid to install the raised toilet seat.

Will the existing toilet seat close down over the raised toilet seat?

No, a lid will not fit over the raised toilet seat once installed.

Will the raised toilet seat work on a one or two piece toilet?

Yes, as long as the seat is no more than 18.5” in diameter, the raised toilet seat should fit.

Will the raised toilet seat wobble or feel loose?

No, when properly installed, the raised toilet seat should be completely stable. If it feels loose, make sure the seat is perfectly centered over the bowl and retighten the lock.

What is the weight limit?

The raised toilet seat accommodates up to 250 pounds.

Can I travel with the raised toilet seat?

Yes, the raised toilet seat in lightweight and easy to transport. The seat should fit on any ADA standard hotel toilet under 18.5” in diameter.
