If the call button & pager system are a long-term necessity, it might be a good idea to start by buying 2 call buttons and putting one aside until the other's battery dies; then after linking the spare call button to the pager, reorder 1 call button to be put aside until the next call-button battery dies.
I don't like the cord that is used on the call button. I have removed it and replaced it with another one.
I wear the pager on my belt, but have lost it twice because it can become disconnected. I have put my name and phone number on the pager in case this happens again. But it probably won't because I have devised a way to secure it to the belt in a relatively simple way.

Great option for the price
I am actually using this device with the receiver for our church nursery when volunteers need assistance. They have worked great for the price. Out of the 5 we have bought 3 worked the first time and I simply sent back the other two for a replacement.

Do I need a pager to connect to this call button?
Yes! The call button must be connected to a Vive pager for proper use.
Can the call button be connected to a cell phone?
At this time, the call button is not compatible with mobile devices.
What are the dimensions of the call button?
The Vive call button measures 3” by 1.5” and is approximately 0.5” thick.
What is the lifespan of the call button?
The call button is designed for 24 months of use, however, the actual lifespan may be longer because of the frequency of use. An indicator light will alert caregivers when the call button needs to be changed.
How far is the range for the call button?
The Vive call button and Vive pager has a range of up to 150 in an open field. Interior walls and flooring may reduce the range available for reliable alerts.
Is the call button easy to push?
Yes! The large button is easy to push for those with limited hand strength and arthritis.
Does this include a neck strap for patients who like to be up and about?
Yes! The call button includes a lanyard for keeping it close at hand while on the move.

How To Pair with the Vive Pager (sold separately):
Press and hold both UP and DOWN arrows on the front of the pager for 5 seconds. You will see a number “1” that is blinking with an additional red light, indicating that the pager is now in programming mode (see the pager's directions for use). The pager will remain in “programming mode” for 10 seconds. If no activity occurs within this 10 second period, the pager will immediately exit the programming mode
There are 10 numbers on the pager for programming up to 10 individual wireless devices. To select a number for programming, press and release the UP or DOWN arrow on the front of the pager, next number available will be blinking with an additional red light
Press the activation button located on the front of the call button to pair the call button to the pager. The pager will beep to signal a successful pairing
