The self-inflating cuff size ranges from 22 – 42cm. This standard cuff size can accommodate a small to large-sized adult. The recommended cuff size for a child ranges from 12 – 18cm. A cuff size too large can underestimate a blood pressure reading.
What does Systolic and Diastolic mean?
Systolic is the top number in your blood pressure reading and is the larger number. This number indicates the measure of pressure in the arteries when the heart beats, or contracts. Diastolic is the bottom and smaller number in your blood pressure reading.
